What Does Writing Consistently For 1 Month Taught Me About LIFE
At first, I didn’t target myself to do the writing for 1 month. There were times when I had some thoughts and I thought it would be good to put them in writing.
“That must be fun. You get to share them with others.”, I talked to myself.
And the journey began.
The first few stories were hard. I didn’t know how to “dance”. I hobbled with each step.
I found it challenging to understand how Medium works, and how to place the attractive formatting in Medium.
One story after another.
I felt great after I click the “Publish and Send Now” button. It’s like when you cook or bake something and get to finally serve it. 🫕🍕
Now here I am — where I had posted 20+ stories here.
I still limp, but writing does a lot of things for me for the past month.
Commitment is something you work on constantly
No matter what the results, keep being consistent.
Hard work does pay off, like what people used to say.
You gotta have the grit if you want to see the results.
“Enthusiasm is common. Endurance is rare.”
― Angela Duckworth
There’s no overnight magic.
You gotta show up and just do what’s necessary.
Learn to think in a more structured way
The more I write something, the more I need to structure my thoughts.
And that’s how I’m kinda forced into doing the structured thinking, slowly leading my way to that path.
Surround yourself with who you want to be
It was a great combination to read from other writers that had opened my mind to different worlds and be among the community.
I learn a lot from their stories and also from their lives.
I feel great to have the chance to know them and have a relationship with them here on Medium or on other platforms.
Let yourself grow in the right environment.
Being surrounded e looking up to is crucial. Or by people who go toward the same goal as you do.
Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher. — Oprah Winfrey
